Locum F2/CT opportunity in General Medicine at the Mater Infirmorum Hospital (MIH), Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Weekday shifts available Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th August 2026, 9am-5pm. The assignment rate is £50/hr.
The MIH Medicine department requires locum cover for its inpatient general medicine wards. You will provide day-to-day medical ward cover, manage acute admissions through the Acute Medical Unit, review deteriorating patients, liaise with specialty teams, and contribute to daily ward rounds. The department handles a broad case-mix including respiratory, gastroenterology, cardiology, and endocrine presentations.
This role is open to Foundation Year 2, Core Trainees (CT/IMT), Specialty Trainees, and GP trainees with appropriate general medicine experience. The position forms part of the trust's unscheduled care medical workforce.
Requirements: Valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, minimum 6 months UK clinical experience, professional indemnity insurance, and two professional references. Clinical attachments or observerships are not deemed as clinical experience.
