Grayscale Medical is recruiting two Foundation Year 2 Doctors for vacant locum lines on the Cardiothoracic Surgery rota at Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), Belfast, within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. These immediate-start assignments run through to 4 August 2026, paying a £50–£55/hr assignment rate.
The RVH Cardiothoracic department provides regional cardiothoracic surgical services including cardiac and vascular surgery. These F2 lines involve cross-cover between the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery specialties, working within the established rota structure. The rota includes day, evening, and overnight shifts. Candidates must be EPIC/Encompass trained for this post — please confirm training status when submitting CVs.
These Foundation Year 2 locum positions (performing F1-level duties on the Cardiothoracic and Vascular rota) are well-suited to F2 doctors seeking surgical specialty experience. Grade requirement: F2 with current GMC registration and licence to practise, having completed FY1 training.
All candidates must meet HSC Framework compliance requirements prior to submission: valid AccessNI check (DBS alone is not accepted for Northern Ireland posts), Occupational Health clearance, safeguarding training certificate, BLS/ILS certificate, two clinical references, and a fully completed LD1 form. Right to work in the UK documentation is mandatory.
