Locum Middle Grade (Specialty Trainee) required for Emergency Department cover at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Multiple shifts available from 6–9 August 2026, including day, evening, and night patterns (08:00–16:00, 14:00–22:00, 16:00–00:00, 22:00–08:30).
The RVH Emergency Department is one of Northern Ireland's busiest EDs, providing major trauma and emergency care services. The role involves senior decision-making in the assessment, investigation, and management of undifferentiated emergency presentations. Middle grade doctors work alongside consultants and junior staff in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment managing the full breadth of emergency medicine.
Shift patterns include early, late, and night shifts to provide 24-hour ED cover. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced emergency medicine doctors seeking flexible locum work at a major teaching hospital.
