Locum Middle Grade (Specialty Trainee) required for Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Multiple shifts available from 5–9 August 2026, covering day and afternoon patterns (08:00–16:00, 09:00–17:00, 13:00–21:00).
The SDEC unit provides rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients who would otherwise require emergency admission. The role involves managing undifferentiated acute medical presentations, making senior clinical decisions regarding admission avoidance, coordinating with specialty teams, and ensuring safe same-day discharge pathways.
