Grayscale Medical is recruiting experienced Emergency Medicine locum doctors at FY2/SHO/CT level for a 3-month+ placement at Daisy Hill Hospital (DHH), Newry, within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. The role pays a £50–£55/hr assignment rate and covers the full ED rota including days, nights, and weekends.
Daisy Hill Hospital is the principal acute hospital serving the Newry area and surrounds. The Emergency Department operates a busy full rota, with this locum requirement covering lines for FY2, ST1/ST2, CT1/CT2, and equivalent SHO-grade doctors. The assignment is ongoing with immediate availability.
A minimum of 6 months' hands-on Emergency Department experience is mandatory. CVs must clearly detail specific Emergency Medicine posts with exact dates of employment — CVs that do not evidence this requirement will not be considered by the Southern Trust. ALS or ILS certification from a Resuscitation Council UK accredited course is required.
Compliance requirements in line with the HSC SS20a Framework include: full GMC registration with licence to practise, valid AccessNI clearance (DBS alone is not accepted for Northern Ireland posts), Occupational Health clearance, BLS/ALS certificate, safeguarding training, infection control training, two recent clinical references covering Emergency Medicine, and right to work evidence.
