Emergency Medicine locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £70/hr.
The Royal Victoria Hospital Emergency Department in Belfast requires Middle Grade (MG) locum doctors for SDEC (Same Day Emergency Care) and general ED cover across an extensive run of shifts from June through July 2026. This requirement is from the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust ED Medical Workforce team.
A large volume of MG shifts are available across both the RVH and the adjacent Mater Infirmary Hospital, covering days (08:00–17:00, 08:00–16:00, 13:00–21:00), evenings (16:00–23:59, 18:00–02:00, 14:00–22:00), and overnight slots (22:00–08:30). Dates run from 18 June through to late July 2026. Locum doctors who can commit to multiple shifts or a block are strongly preferred. Pay rate £70/hr.
SDAEC experience or strong acute unscheduled care background is advantageous. Candidates should have solid Emergency Medicine experience at middle grade or ST3+ equivalent level. Encompass training is required. AccessNI clearance is mandatory for all locum positions in Northern Ireland. CVs must be complete and compliant before submission.
