Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Foundation Year 2 doctor for Emergency Medicine locum shifts at Daisy Hill Hospital, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a £50/hr assignment rate covering a mix of evening, night, and day shifts across August 2026.

The department requires FY2-level cover for 15 shifts spanning evening twilight (17:00-02:00), afternoon (13:00-22:00), night (22:00-08:00), and late (16:00-02:00) patterns. You will be working in the Accident & Emergency department at Daisy Hill Hospital, managing acute medical and surgical presentations, trauma, and undifferentiated emergency cases. The department provides emergency care for the Southern Trust Newry and surrounding catchment area.

This is a long-term fill vacancy (4068) with shifts distributed throughout August, offering continuity and the opportunity to build rapport with the clinical team. The ED handles a broad case mix including minor injuries, medical emergencies, paediatric presentations, and trauma.

Requirements include valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and minimum 2 professional references. FY2-level experience with Emergency Medicine exposure is essential.
