Emergency Medicine locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £50–£55/hr assignment rate.
Grayscale Medical is recruiting Core Trainees (CT/F2/STGP level) in Emergency Medicine for locum shifts across the Royal Victoria Hospital and Mater Infirmorum Hospital Emergency Departments within Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Multiple shifts are available from 24th July through 6th August 2026, covering day, evening, and night patterns.
Shift patterns include day shifts (08:00-17:00), evening shifts (14:00-22:00), and night shifts (22:00-08:30) across both sites. The RVH ED is a major trauma centre handling high-acuity presentations, while the MIH ED provides a busy urban emergency service.
The successful candidate will work at CT/F2 level providing emergency medical care, triaging and assessing patients, performing procedures, and managing acute presentations under senior supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for emergency medicine trainees or GP trainees seeking varied ED experience.
Requirements include valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and a minimum of 2 professional references. ALS/ILS certification from an accredited course (e.g., Resuscitation Council UK) is required for ED placements.
