Daisy Hill Hospital is the main acute hospital serving the Newry, Mourne and Down area and houses a busy type-1 Emergency Department with a wide range of acute presentations including trauma, medical emergencies, and surgical referrals. As a locum SHO/FY2 in Emergency Medicine you will assess and manage acute presentations independently and under consultant supervision, perform emergency procedures, and participate in the full 24/7 shift rota. A minimum of 6 months’ Emergency Medicine experience is essential — CVs must detail specific EM experience with exact dates. Clinical attachments and observerships are not accepted as EM experience.

Essential requirements: FY2/ST1/ST2/CT1/CT2 grade, valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, AccessNI clearance, minimum 6 months Emergency Medicine experience clearly evidenced on CV, and willingness to commit to the full 3-month requirement including all shift types. Locum doctors must be prepared to work in Northern Ireland for the full requirement.
