Core Trainee / Foundation Year 2 - Emergency Medicine

Emergency Medicine locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60/hr.

Grayscale Medical is recruiting Core Trainees and Foundation Year 2 doctors (CT/F2/STGP) in Emergency Medicine for the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) and Mater Infirmorum Hospital (MIH) Emergency Departments, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Paying £60/hr, these HSC locum doctor roles cover day, evening, and overnight shifts from June through August 2026.

The RVH and MIH EDs manage a broad spectrum of acute presentations across all age groups, operating around the clock. CT and F2 doctors will work within a structured team alongside Middle Grade and Consultant cover, managing undifferentiated emergency presentations, performing clerking, initiating investigations, and supporting SDEC pathways. Multiple shifts are available across weekdays and weekends, with patterns including 08:00–17:00, 16:00–00:00, and 22:00–08:30. Both RVH and MIH sites have requirements through to August 2026.

Requirements: Core Trainee or Foundation Year 2 grade; valid GMC registration with licence to practise; AccessNI clearance; right to work in the UK; appropriate EM competencies at CT/F2 level. HSE Encompass training is desirable.
