Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Core Trainee in Cardiothoracic Surgery for a locum position at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This full-time (1.0 WTE) assignment is available immediately (ASAP) through to 4th August 2026, offering a £50–£55/hr assignment rate on the Cardiothoracic rota (cost code A1T690).
This is a full WTE position on the Cardiothoracic rota at RVH, Northern Ireland's leading tertiary centre for cardiac and thoracic surgical services. The successful candidate will work within the dedicated cardiothoracic surgery team, covering day-to-day surgical duties including pre- and post-operative care, ward rounds, and on-call commitments as rostered. RVH is a high-volume regional referral centre, offering significant exposure to complex cardiothoracic cases.
Requirements: CT grade doctor with valid GMC registration and licence to practise, right to work in the UK, current AccessNI clearance (DBS is not accepted for Northern Ireland posts), professional indemnity insurance, and minimum 2 professional references. A full compliance documentation pack is required. Suitable CVs should be forwarded for consideration by the medical workforce team.
