Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Psychiatry of Old Age for an inpatient post at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, at a £100–£110/hr assignment rate. This Consultant Psychiatry locum in Northern Ireland is a 10 PA position for an initial 3-month period, starting immediately.
The role is based in Belfast and involves inpatient clinical duties for the Psychiatry of Old Age service within BHSCT's Mental Health, CAMHS, LD and ACOPS directorate. The consultant will provide specialist psychiatric assessment and management for older adult inpatients, leading the clinical team, participating in multidisciplinary reviews, and ensuring governance and safeguarding standards are maintained. Fully compliant files and a completed LD1 form are required before being forwarded to the department.
Requirements: Full GMC registration with licence to practise; Consultant-grade Psychiatrist with a CCT or equivalent in Old Age Psychiatry; right to work in the UK; current AccessNI clearance (DBS checks do not suffice for Northern Ireland); comprehensive and current CV; two recent consultant-level references; completed LD1 form; demonstrated experience in managing complex presentations in older adult inpatient settings.
