Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Consultant Neurosurgeon for an immediate locum placement at the Department of Neurosurgery, Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), Belfast, within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This three-month assignment offers a £100–£110/hr assignment rate with potential for extension.
The Regional Neurosurgery department at RVH has an immediate locum requirement for a Consultant with specialist interest in vascular and complex spine neurosurgery. The successful consultant will join a busy regional neurosurgical unit providing expert care across the full spectrum of neurosurgical conditions. The post covers the full rota and requires availability for emergency and elective cases including cerebrovascular, complex spinal, and cranial procedures.
Essential criteria for this consultant neurosurgeon locum post include: full GMC registration with a current licence to practise, Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Neurosurgery) or equivalent qualification, demonstrable specialist expertise in vascular and complex spine neurosurgery, and a minimum of six months' recent UK clinical experience in a consultant-level neurosurgical role. EPIC/Encompass system training is desirable.
Candidates must have a fully compliant documentation file prior to submission, in line with the HSC SS20a Framework: a completed LD1 form, valid AccessNI check (DBS alone is not accepted for Northern Ireland posts), Occupational Health clearance, current professional indemnity insurance, and two recent specialist references in Neurosurgery.
