Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Clinical Fellow for the Major Trauma Ward at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), part of Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT). This temporary post runs from mid-May to 4 August 2026. Offered at a £50–£55/hr assignment rate.
This is a Clinical Fellow post suitable for doctors who have completed F2 and above. The Major Trauma Ward is an 8-bedded specialist ward at RVH, Northern Ireland’s regional Major Trauma Centre. No nightshifts — shift patterns include Day (08:00–18:00), Long (08:00–20:00), and Early (08:00–14:00) Monday–Friday, and 08:00–18:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
Role details: The successful candidate will participate in all duties required on the ward rota for the Major Trauma Ward. This is a highly specialised environment requiring competence in managing complex polytrauma patients as part of a multidisciplinary team. Encompass training is mandatory. BLS or ALS certification from an accredited UK course (e.g. Resuscitation Council UK) is required.
Requirements: F2+ (post-F2 equivalent or above), valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, Enhanced AccessNI clearance (DBS does not suffice for Northern Ireland), professional indemnity insurance, BLS/ALS (accredited course), Encompass training. Minimum 2 professional references. At least 6 months UK clinical experience required.
